This is an opportunity to produce images that originate with you. You may photograph any subject that is appropriate within the context of the class. After deciding on a subject find a background that best relates to the subject and the type of light that illustrates or interacts with that subject. You can choose a subject that interests you but make sure that the final image has a universal appeal. Don’t forget about POV, quality and direction of the light and color, etc. This is what your idea books are for.

You will be evaluated by the following criteria:

Creativity – the idea and how the images are handled along with the basic use of composition.

Technical – Camera skills: the exposure, use of light & color, etc. (diagrams with technical info)

Presentation - quality of matting skills

Note: Each criterion counts a total of 95 points.
